Honors Networking 1-2

Graphic 1

The introduction to Networking course will be a combination of Cisco Academy’s Networking Essentials and Introduction to Networking courses. The Cisco curriculum is designed for Cisco Networking Academy students in upper secondary schools, technical schools, and colleges or universities who want to pursue careers in IT and learn how computers work, how to assemble computers, and how to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and want to build a foundation for success in computer networking-related careers and degree programs. Networking Essentials teaches networking based on environments students may encounter in daily life, including small office and home office networking. This course provides an engaging, self-paced learning experience using Packet Tracer simulation, interactive activities, and learning with your own devices at home.

Introduction to Networking introduces the architectures, models, protocols, and networking elements that connect users, devices, applications, and data through the internet and across modern networks- including IP addressing and Ethernet fundamentals.
